Middle, one-side win and push outcomes
A hypothetical over 40.5 and under 43.5 total can both win at 41, 42 or 43. For two $100 stakes at 1.91, either single winner returns $191 on a $200 total outlay, a $9 loss. Both winning returns $382, a $182 net. Both losing returns zero.
For integer lines, pushes can alter the result. A first-side win and second-side push returns S₁D₁ + S₂. Verify compatible event and settlement rules before interpreting the scenarios. The tool does not infer how likely the middle is from the distance between lines.
An attractive middle is not guaranteed value
Expected net requires probabilities for all possible settlements. The width of a spread alone does not provide them. Equal stakes are an example, not a recommendation; use the arbitrage calculator when the wagers actually cover every outcome at an equal return.
