Place bets use their own ratios

A winning Place 6 or Place 8 pays 7:6. A $6 stake therefore earns $7 profit and returns $13 total. Place 5 and 9 pay 7:5; Place 4 and 10 pay 9:5 in the standard table used here.

True odds are a separate wager

After a point is established, an odds wager behind Pass or Come pays according to that point: 2:1 on 4 or 10, 3:2 on 5 or 9, and 6:5 on 6 or 8. These ratios are not the same as place-bet ratios.

Use valid units and a defined settlement

Stake increments avoid fractional-dollar payouts in this model. The calculator does not include buy or lay commissions, proposition bets, field variations or Crapless Craps. It calculates a selected settlement, not the chance of completing a pass-line cycle.

How to calculate craps payouts

Multiply the winning stake by the net payout ratio, then add the original stake for gross return. A $12 Place 6 at 7:6 earns $14 and returns $26. A $10 odds wager on point 5 at 3:2 earns $15 and returns $25. The calculator checks stake units for the selected ratio.

For lay wagers with commission, use the craps lay bet calculator. To compare winning probability with payout and estimate house edge, use the separate craps house edge calculator. These calculations answer different questions from settling a known win.
