Illustrative inputs. Results depend on the assumptions shown.
Equity includes shared pots
The tool enumerates the remaining legal boards for the known hands. A sole winner receives one unit of equity for that board; tied winners split that unit. Equity therefore differs from the probability of winning outright.
Use the correct hand-building rule
Hold’em can use any five cards from the available seven. Omaha requires exactly two hole cards and exactly three board cards, including in five-card Omaha. The same visible cards can therefore produce different hands under the two rules.
Known hands are not opponent ranges
Enter every player’s cards explicitly and do not duplicate a card. A complete board gives a settled comparison; a preflop board requires many more combinations. This tool does not infer hidden hands, model betting decisions or calculate tournament chip equity.
Texas Hold’em, Omaha and PLO5 equity
Choose the appropriate game tab before entering cards. Hold’em takes two hole cards, Omaha four and five-card PLO five. Four-card and five-card Omaha both require exactly two hole cards plus three board cards. Pot-limit betting does not change that showdown rule.
Enter cards as rank and suit, such as As Ah or Kd Qc. For heads-up poker enter two known hands; add a player for a multiway comparison. The result reports outright wins, ties and each player’s pot share. A tied board contributes a fraction of a pot to equity.
A preflop calculation leaves the board empty and checks all legal five-card boards. A flop or turn leaves fewer possibilities. Five-card Omaha preflop enumeration is expensive; use the progress indicator and Cancel control. The calculation is exact for the cards supplied, not for an unspecified opponent range.
Equity, variance, pot odds and tournament value
Hand equity is a showdown share. It does not determine a session’s variance or the correct value of tournament chips. Use the pot odds calculator for a call threshold, the poker variance calculator for a supplied win-rate and deviation model, or the ICM calculator for tournament prize equity.
A range chart or push/fold strategy depends on stack sizes, position, antes and opponents. Known-hand equity alone is insufficient to claim a Nash equilibrium or prescribe a betting decision. A video poker value calculation uses a final-hand distribution and paytable, rather than known opponents in a community-card game.
Choose cards visually or type a known hand
Use Choose cards beside a player, board or dead-card field to select ranks and suits. Select a card again to remove it; cards already entered in another field are unavailable. Hold’em allows two cards per player, Omaha four and five-card Omaha five. The picker fills the same inputs used by the exact calculation, so it does not change the odds model. Finish the hand and board, then press Calculate. You can still type card codes such as As Ah directly.
