Three-card blackjack side-bet probabilities

This model combines the player’s two initial cards and dealer’s upcard as an unordered three-card sample from a fresh standard shoe. The winning categories, in precedence order, are suited triple, straight flush, unsuited triple, nonflush straight and nonstraight flush. All other hands lose.

With d decks, total unordered draws are C(52d,3). Suited triples number 52C(d,3); all triples number 13C(4d,3). There are 12 three-rank sequences including A–2–3 and Q–K–A, but not K–A–2. Straight flushes number 48d³. Subtract higher categories to avoid overlapping wins.

Enter the exact side-bet paytable

The five default payout ratios are illustrative. A named 21+3 product can use different payouts, categories or straight rules. This calculator states its model explicitly and does not certify that it matches a particular table.

Gross expected return sums each category probability times (net ratio + 1). Subtract one for expected net per stake. Counts assume a fresh complete shoe; removed cards change the probabilities. This is separate from the natural blackjack probability and main-bet payout.
